This Agreement is between Liberty Ridge Retrievers [we] and the buyer [you] for the purchase of one our purebred Golden Retriever puppies.

RESERVING A PUPPY – DEPOSIT

To reserve one of our puppies, we require a $500 deposit. All reservation deposits are on a first come first serve basis. We accept Credit Card, PayPal, Cashier’s Check, or Cash for the deposit. Please note that puppy availability is very limited, so deposits must be made as soon as possible. Puppies will NOT be held without a deposit.  When we receive your deposit, you automatically agree to the terms of this Agreement, even if you have not yet signed this Agreement.

PAYMENT

When the puppy is 7-8 weeks of age, the balance of the payment for the price of the puppy is due upon pickup with Cash or a Cashier's Check. Upon receiving the balance of the price of the puppy, we will release the puppy to you.

REFUNDS OF PUPPY DEPOSITS

Puppy deposits are NOT refundable. If you are unable to move forward with the purchase of a puppy from an existing litter, we will be released from the obligation to hold this puppy for you, and we may sell this puppy to another customer. However, your puppy deposit will remain available for you to use toward the purchase of a future puppy. You will have 1 year to complete the transaction.

If you are making a puppy deposit for a puppy from an anticipated litter and the anticipated puppy becomes unavailable, we will refund your entire deposit or offer the option of replacing this puppy with another puppy from a current or future litter.

WAITING LISTS

If all of our available puppies from our current litter are sold, you may join our preferred waiting list for a puppy from our next available litter by completing our waiting list form and placing your deposit. Our preferred waiting list is on a first come, first serve basis. Please keep in mind we do limit the number of people on our preferred waiting list. Joining this list will guarantee you a puppy from our next available litter. If we are unable to provide you a puppy to match the sex you designated on our waiting list from our next available puppy litter, we will either refund you your deposit or keep you on the waiting list for a future litter at your discretion.

SALES AGREEMENT AND HEALTH GUARANTEE

Our puppies are vet-checked and guaranteed to be healthy at the time of sale. Should your puppy develop any congenital medical disorder during the first 12 months of life, we will, upon provision of veterinary reports, provide you with the option of exchanging your puppy with a replacement puppy. You hold us harmless for any incurred medical expenses for a puppy with a genetic defect. The 1-year health guarantee does not cover common health issues such as parasites and other treatable issues nor does it cover health issues arising from accidents, lack of care, or improper nutrition.

 

You will be responsible for obtaining, within ten (10) days of acquiring the puppy, an evaluation by a veterinarian. If an untreatable medical condition is detected, you may return the puppy to us, at your expense, on the day following the veterinarian exam, along with a veterinarian’s statement stating the problem. You will receive a full refund of the purchase price of the puppy less any shipping fees, if applicable.

 

We are not liable for long term medical care, treatment, or extraordinary measures if these are elected by you. You are responsible for any and all medical expenses. In the case of sudden death of your puppy, we must receive a written notice of puppy’s death from your veterinarian, along with a necropsy report indicating the cause of death. We also reserve the right to acquire a DNA sample from the puppy to determine the dog or puppy as one of our lineages.

 

You will receive a health record for your puppy at time of purchase and are responsible for maintaining any and all health records after purchase, otherwise the 1-year health guarantee is voided. Failure to take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within ten (10) days of your purchase date will void this health guarantee.

You agree that you will love, care for, and otherwise be responsible for this Golden Retriever Puppy that is being transferred to your care.

 

FOR LIMITED AKC REGISTRATION PUPPIES

These puppies are beautiful, certified healthy, purebred, Golden Retrievers. However, any litters produced by them are not eligible for AKC registration. 

 

FOR FULL AKC REGISTRATION PUPPIES

These puppies are sold with Full AKC Registration which includes full breeding rights, and litters produced by them are eligible for AKC registration. A dog with full registration can also compete and take part in many different AKC shows including confirmation and championship dog shows.

 

PURCHASE PRICE

The purchase price of a Golden Retriever puppy is $1500 for Limited AKC Registration and $2800 for Full AKC Registration. If applicable, Sales tax will be added to the purchase price.  $500 of the purchase price will be paid immediately with this Agreement as a deposit to guarantee that we will hold the puppy for delivery to you. After crediting the deposit, the balance will be paid with Cash or Cashier's check at the time of pickup of the puppy by you.

 

PICKING UP YOUR PUPPY

Your puppy must be picked up in person by the agreed upon pickup date. If your puppy is not picked up by this date and no prior arrangements have been made with us, we have the right to void this Agreement and find another buyer. All fees are to be paid in full before the puppy will be released to you. Shipping may be available under very limited circumstances.  We will not ship a puppy without a Pet Nanny as we do not ever want our puppies traveling alone. You are responsible for any and all shipping charges to include but limited to the crate, health certificate, and Pet Nanny.

This Agreement applies only to you as the original purchaser and is NOT transferable. You also certify that you are not acting as an agent in this purchase; that you will not resell this puppy to a puppy mill, commercial breeder, pet store, or medical research facility. All puppies are sold as family companions. We cannot guarantee the breeding of any puppy.
